As I came to the corner of the street, I suddenly reconized it, ( in the town of my youth. )How unchanged it was,and how still- as you rounded the corner,it was as if you emerged into the other world of the high street.

Speculations of a day -

                    Living is a process of un-learning
          Un-learning what ?
          The unlearning of learning.
           To find our primal innocence-
           Like trees plants and animals,
           To discover our lost totality-
           In quiet being.

          

Holiday house

                     From our house

                     We look upon a steep hillside,

                     With its rounded rim -

                      Blue sky and clouds above,

                      Where large birds of prey circle -


                     The trees make lovely shadows

                     Upon the brown earth

                     For goats and rabbits.

                     An oak tree looks down upon us majestically -



                   The hill is inviting and mysterious-

                   I will not climb there ,

                   I am too lazy-

                   And anyway I prefer to imagine,

                   What lies beyond !
